Mount Kenya National Park
Mount Kenya National Park is centered around the towering Mount Kenya, Africa’s second-highest mountain. The park offers a mix of adventure and wildlife, with activities ranging from challenging mountain climbs to scenic hikes through forests and alpine meadows. The lower slopes of the mountain are home to a variety of wildlife, including elephants, buffalo, antelopes, and a wide array of bird species. Hikers and climbers are drawn to the mountain’s breathtaking peaks—Batian and Nelion—which are popular among experienced mountaineers.
For those not seeking the summit, the park’s lower trails and forests offer stunning views of the peaks, wildlife sightings, and serene landscapes. Mount Kenya is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and provides an excellent combination of natural beauty, biodiversity, and outdoor adventure.
